The 25th Annual Lake Placid Ironman event took place in Lake Placid on July 21, 2024 and Paul Smith’s College was a sponsor. More than 3,000 athletes were entered on a beautiful weekend in the Adirondacks.
Paul Smith’s College had a booth on the Lake Placid Speed Skating Oval at the Ironman Expo that included a number of high-end sporting equipment merchants. The booth was manned by coaches, admissions representatives, athletes. “This was a great forum to spread the Paul Smith’s message,” said Bailey Walton, Director of Admissions.
VIP Reception
The Friday before, Paul Smith’s hosted the VIP reception at the Olympic Ski Jumps where many Ironman representatives were honored for their 25 years of hard work. Approximately 150 people were in attendance, including former NY State Senator Betty Little, Senator Dan Stec, and Lake Placid Tourism leadership. Paul Smith’s representative John F. Morgan was the emcee for the evening and Paul Smith’s President Dan Kelting presented a welcome and congratulatory message and then introduced a Paul Smith’s video.
